Dr. R. Barrett Steelman is a founding member of North Texas Heart Center. He has been practicing cardiology in Dallas for over 30 years. He served as Chief of Cardiology at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas from 1977 to 1992 and as
the interim Chairman of Internal Medicine from 1986 to 1988. Dr. Steelman graduated from Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC and his fellowship in cardiology at Georgetown University Hospital and at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Steelman has been named to the Best Doctors in Dallas and the Best Doctors in America list for a number of years.
