CARLOS E VELASCO, MD, FACC
Dr. Carlos E. Velasco is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He joined NTHC in 1996 and practices at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Velasco completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston and received Fellowships in Cardiology from Baylor, Houston and Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians.

Dr. Velasco is very active in research, teaching and lecturing on a variety of cardiology subjects. He is widely published and serves as Assistant Editor of the American Journal of Cardiology. Dr. Velasco is a Clinical Relevance reviewer for the American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Velasco specializes in interventional cardiology, including PTCA and stenting. 

Dr. Velasco is married and has 3 children.

Dr. Velasco speaks Spanish.
