View of aileron torque tube set in position inside keel with torque tube support. Keel laid in position in lower fueslage. Hydraulic system access holes already in place. Keel laid in position referenced off the center line as determined at start of construction. After precisely positioning on center line, flanges shaved off as needed for best fit in particular at "tail end" in contact with wire ducts. After marking the edges of the keel, the areas of fiberglass adjacent are sanded to prepare for the fiberglass layups to bind the keel to the lower fuselage.
